Dermamelan
Due to various reasons, the skin may develop uneven pigmentation. In order to regain a more even complexion, you may wish to inquire about treatments to lighten the visible discolorations. One of these includes Dermamelan, a two-phase treatment plan to successfully improve the appearance of facial skin and help to prevent future occurrences.
During the Consultation
At the practice of Dr. Middleton in Toronto, you will undergo a through examination of the area to be treated, discuss your desired outcome, and be informed of the treatment details. This is an ideal time to voice questions/concerns regarding your procedure. Be sure to ask about possible risks/complications associated with the treatment.
Procedure
Dermamelan is a two phase treatment that begins in Dr. Middleton’s office with the application of a Dermamelan Mask. This is left on the skin for a specified period of time depending on your particular needs (skin color and type). Using a mesoestetic Hydra Milk Cleanser, the mask is removed and a Hydravital Factor K Cream is applied to the treated area.
The second phase is performed at home for maintenance. Patients are to apply the mesoestetic Dermamelan 2 maintenance cream daily according to Dr. Middleton’s recommendation. It is imperative that you follow this with mesoestetic Complete Moisturizing Sun Block and Hydra Vital Factor K Cream. The goal is ensure the continued depigmentation of skin discolorations.
Recovery
There is no downtime or recovery period after your treatment. During the initial days of the home use, you may experience some redness, itching, and sensitivity, which should subside with continued use. Your results will begin to show after approximately three or four days.
