Injectable Fillers
Fine lines, wrinkles, and creases are typically the most bothersome features that men and women wish to correct. However, many of these individuals choose not to, or are not ready to, undergo plastic surgery. So they may opt for non-surgical treatments such as injectable fillers. Toronto cosmetic surgeon William G. Middleton, B.Sc., M.D., F.R.C.S. offers several non-invasive treatments at his practice.
Facial Fillers for Rejuvenation
During a visit at Middleton Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, you will be able to discuss your concerns in regards to which area(s) of your face you would like treated as well as your desired outcome. Some of the most common regions that show signs of aging include the forehead, between the brows, around the eyes, cheeks, lips, and around the mouth. In order to fill in lines and creases, which develops when there is a lack of elasticity and/or collagen production, Dr. Middleton may use Juvederm ™, Voluma, Selphyl, Artesense, Radiesse, Ovitra, fat injections, and hyalauronic acids. These cosmetic injectables can plump up depression in the skin in order to provide a more youthful appearance. Patients may regain a younger-looking appearance when they undergo a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure with Dr. Middleton. In addition, thinning of the lips can be corrected with lip enhancement using Juvederm or Restylane ®.
Typically, these treatments do not require any downtime and patients may return to their normal daily activities immediately after their procedure. Depending on the type of facial filler used, follow-up treatments may be necessary to maintain a youthful appearance.
