Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment
The first step in your skin resurfacing treatment is to meet with Dr. Middleton to discuss your problem area(s), the procedure, steps to prepare for your treatment, and possible risks and side effects. During your visit, your facial skin and pigment are examined in order to determine if you are an ideal candidate for laser resurfacing. Dr. Middleton will also review your medical history to make sure you are in good physical health, and inquire about any skin abnormalities, including sensitivity to the sun. It is important to mention if you have undergone any other skin treatments within the last six months.
By using the latest in laser technology – CO2 and Erbium laser – Dr. Middleton can remove fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, while softening deeper frown lines and grooves. The laser allows our plastic surgeon the ability to have precise control of the exfoliation process. He is able to visually judge the effects of the treatment as it is performed, as opposed to other wrinkle treatments (microdermabrasion does not allow this). Other benefits of undergoing laser wrinkle removal with our Toronto professional includes a shorter recovery time and less bruising, bleeding, and scarring.
